Membership Information

As a warm and caring community we welcome members to participate, suggest, question and represent all aspects of Temple Chaverim. The membership committee is available to be a liaison between members and the Board.

We welcome new members with a new member breakfast every year, giving everyone the opportunity to meet and mingle with other members, and clergy. We check in with members throughout the year. The committee meets monthly to discuss ideas, issues and how to grow membership. All members are welcome to attend.

• Annual dues: $2,385: $1,192.50 ( 50% new member incentive discount)
• Utility/Security/Operational Assessments: $500
• Religious School Grades 3-7: $995 ($50  discount for additional children)
• Religious School Grades K-2: $450 
• Books and Materials: $135
• Tuesday Night Live (grades 8-12): $190
• Sisterhood/Men’s Club: Complimentary year one – optional dues of $36 each starting in year two
• Building Fund: $3,000 – $600 per year over 5 years (years 1-5 or years 2-6) $500 discount if paid within the first 3 months of membership. If you have previously paid a building fund to Temple Chaverim or any other synagogue, please call Julie or Vicky – 516-367-6100 for information on receiving a credit on your account for the amount paid previously.
