Sisterhood
Sisterhood |
| Sisterhood is the organization of the women of the congregation who ban together for fellowship and friendship, for programs to benefit the community, for social activities, for study, and, above all, for the growth of the individual and our Temple. Sisterhood provides a collective identity for our women. We meet and work in a group and develop projects in which we are interested and wish to be involved. Sisterhood gives you the opportunity to put your talents, time, and gifts to work for many causes, both large and small. You are able to enrich your congregational familys life, as well as your own. Sisterhood is community action, dinners, holiday sales, theater parties, speaker meetings, Mah Jongg night, couples tennis night, etc. In a world that has become very complex and sometimes uncaring, Sisterhood is a way of belonging, of being part of a group, in involving oneself in the greater concerns of our lives. It affords the individual woman the ability to feel the pride that comes with knowing that something is being done to help people in need.
