The Hebrew words Y’he Or, “Let There Be Light,” characterizes the purpose of Temple Chaverim’s Men's Club. Our objective is to help our members become better individuals and better Jews through involvement and increased participation in temple and Men's Club. This Temple sub-group meets once a month on Sunday mornings. Playing an integral role in the programmatic structure of the temple, Men's Club offers many exciting events to its members. Entertaining speaker programs have given congregants the opportunity to hear the inside story from, and mingle with, sports personalities, and media stars. Men’s Club concern for the family is expressed through our many fun-filled family events, including sporting events, fishing trips, monthly card night, family BBQ picnics, and softball games. Bringing much joy to our children and parents is The Men's Club Annual Family Chanukah Breakfast, numbering over 200 participants each year. Filling our children’s stomachs with pancakes, munchkins, and chocolate gelt, and putting smiles on their faces with entertainment, raffle prizes, and dreidles has been enormously rewarding. Our service efforts extend beyond the temple to the community at large. Men's Club performs High Holiday Ushering and erects the Temple Sukkah for Sukkot If you are desirous of performing a mitzvah, supporting charitable causes, creating new friendships, being entertained and informed, or merely boosting Mens Club ability to service Temple Chaverim, our membership awaits you. Men's Club develops knowledge and enthusiasm, warmth, and vitality through its programs and projects. Our Men's Club is a means to interest the disinterested and win the unaffiliated.
